Otomato for Aave

Liquidation alerts, health factor monitoring, and rate tracking for your Aave positions.

Available onEthereumArbitrumBasePolygonAvalanche

What you need to monitor

Aave is the largest on-chain lending protocol. You can supply assets to earn yield, borrow against your collateral, or run leveraged strategies. Otomato detects your Aave positions automatically and monitors what matters.

Managing Aave positions means tracking health factors, borrowing costs, and collateral risk across multiple markets. A health factor below 1.0 triggers liquidation, and borrowing rates can spike without warning when pool utilization changes. Otomato eliminates the need to manually check your Aave dashboard by automatically detecting every position tied to your wallet address. Whether you are supplying ETH to earn yield, borrowing USDC against your wstETH, or running a recursive leverage loop, Otomato monitors the metrics that determine whether your position is safe or at risk. You receive alerts for health factor drops, rate increases, stablecoin depegs, governance changes that affect your collateral parameters, and protocol security incidents. Otomato supports Aave V3 deployments on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Polygon, and Avalanche. No wallet connect required, just paste your address and monitoring starts in seconds.

Common use cases

Earn yield by supplying assets
Borrow against your collateral
Run a leverage loop strategy
Short a token using borrowed assets

What we watch

Alerts Otomato sends for Aave

Otomato automatically detects your positions and alerts you only when something relevant happens.

Critical

Health factor approaching liquidation

Your health factor is the ratio between your collateral value and your debt. When it drops below 1.0, your position gets liquidated. Otomato alerts you when your health factor falls below a safety threshold so you can add collateral or repay debt before it is too late.

Critical

Liquidation risk threshold breached

On top of health factor, Otomato tracks the distance to liquidation in dollar terms so you understand how much price movement separates you from a forced close.

Warning

Borrowing rate spike

Borrowing rates on Aave fluctuate based on pool utilization. A sudden spike means you are paying significantly more interest than expected. Otomato watches your active borrows and alerts you when the rate increases beyond what you signed up for.

Critical

Stablecoin or LST depeg

If your collateral or borrowed asset is a stablecoin or liquid staking token and it deviates from its peg, your position risk changes immediately. Otomato monitors the peg of assets in your positions and alerts you on deviations.

Info

Governance action affecting your assets

Aave governance can change parameters like liquidation thresholds, interest rate models, or collateral factors. These changes directly affect your position risk. Otomato flags governance proposals that impact assets you hold.

Info

Supply or borrow cap change

When Aave changes the supply or borrow cap for a market you use, it may affect your ability to add collateral, repay, or refinance. Otomato surfaces these changes so they do not surprise you mid-position.

Why monitoring matters for Aave users

Aave is the most battle-tested on-chain lending venue, but it is also where most DeFi liquidations happen. A health factor below 1.0 is unforgiving: liquidators repay part of your debt at a discount and seize your collateral, and that decision is final once the transaction lands on chain.

Borrowing rates are dynamic and react to utilization changes within a single block. A whale opening a large borrow, a new market integration, or a sudden withdrawal can push your borrow APR from 3% to 30% within minutes. If you are running a loop or a carry trade, your edge can evaporate while you sleep.

Most users either over-collateralize defensively (which wastes capital) or under-collateralize and check their dashboard several times per day (which wastes attention). Otomato exists to remove both behaviors: you set the rules once, then only hear from us when something genuinely changes.

Frequently asked questions about Aave alerts

What types of Aave alerts does Otomato support?+

Otomato sends alerts for the events that actually change your risk or PnL: health factor drops, liquidation proximity, borrow rate spikes, supply yield degradation, stablecoin and LST depegs, Aave governance actions that change your collateral or borrow parameters, and supply or borrow cap changes for markets you use. We do not send marketing pushes or generic price alerts.

Do I need to connect my wallet?+

No. Otomato is read-only by design. You paste your wallet address and we detect your Aave positions by reading on-chain state. We never request signatures, we cannot move your funds, and we never see a private key.

How do you detect my Aave positions?+

We index Aave V3 markets across every supported chain and resolve your wallet against current aToken, debt token, and credit delegation balances. New positions are picked up automatically the next time the position state changes, with no manual configuration on your side.

Which chains does this work on?+

Aave V3 monitoring is available on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Polygon, and Avalanche. If you operate the same wallet on several of these chains, Otomato monitors all of them in parallel and labels each alert with the chain it came from.

How do I set custom thresholds for my position?+

Each position has its own alert configuration. Otomato ships with smart defaults (for example a health factor alert at 1.2) and you can override them per position from the Alert Configuration screen in the app. Other positions stay on defaults.

Is monitoring Aave free?+

Yes. Core monitoring for Aave, including health factor, liquidation risk, and rate alerts, is free. Future premium features will cover advanced needs like multi-wallet portfolios beyond the free limit and overnight phone-call escalations for severe risk.
